System Components
The TEKNOBAG®-DRAIMAD® system dewaters, dries, and packs, municipal and industrial sludges.
The bags are mounted on a special stainless steel
frame, designed to give an even sludge distribution into the bags.

This system has been installed thousand-fold around the world on many sludge treatment plants.
PROCESS STAGES
Flocculation
Our Draimad System is equipped with a polymer system and static mixer to flocculate flocculate the sludge.
For municipal sludge only 2-4kg/ton of polymer is required.
Dewatering
The Sludge is dewatered with our Filtering Bags for 24-48 hours to reach 12-18% prior to storage.
Storage
The Filtering Bags are made from a
special “TNT” water repellent material, to continue dewatering after removal. The Filtering bas is very resistant and inert to: chemicals, acids, bacteria and insects.

Bag Filling Cycle
Mounting of Bags
The bags are replaced by batch of 2, 3, 6, or 12 bags.
Filling and Dewatering
Once the bags are mounted on the frame. The operator can start the automatic fill cycle, managed a bag level sensor.
Removal of Bags
The operator is alerted when the bag cycle filling cycle. He can then proceed to move the bags into storage using the bag trolley.
Filtrate Quality
The quality of this water depends strictly on the quality of flocculation. The better the flocculation is and better is the quality of the filtrate. The filtrate is generally better than a Belt-press. In fact the filter-media of the bags is 100-150 microns, while Belt filter press is 250-300 microns.
The bags system does not apply high pressure (which helps the escape of the suspended solids), so the filtrate from the bags is really better than filtrate from Belt Filter Press, and return at the head of the treatment.
